RaflaRumba
RaflaRumba Appro is a student event established in 2010, wherein the participants go around Helsinki city centre completing a pub crawl. There are annual performance levels to show your attendance in the event in previous years. After reaching their level the participant receives a coverall patch and finish the night at the after party.
Project team

RaflaRumba Appro is looking for the next project manager to take care of organizing the event. The project manager will be responsible for the execution of RaflaRumba Appro in the spring of 2027 in accordance with the objectives set by the event steering committee. This position is suitable for a person with relevant studies and experience in event production such as through student organization activities.
The position includes:
- project team recruitment in August, orientation and leadership
- drawing up the budget and plans for the project and marketing
- contract negotiation with collaborators
- reports to the the steering committee
- event day coordinating
- execution review and ideas for development for next year
orientation of the next project manager
Success in this position requires:
- Experience in organizing events of a similar scale
- Experience in leadership, budgets and project-based work
- A solid understanding of student culture, especially from the student unions that own the event
- Commitment to the project until April 2027
- The ability to work in Finnish and English
Considered as assets:
- Graphic design experience
- Marketing and communication knowledge
The position pays a one time salary 1000 euros after the event has been brought to completion. In addition to the salary, the project manager has a chance to earn a 7,5% commission, provided that the steering committee’s objectives are fulfilled.

The steering committee reviews the applications and sends out invites for the interviews by May 22nd 2026. The interviews will be held on Laurea UAS Tikkurila campus on May 29th 2026. The interviewees will be informed about the decision by June 3rd.
Performance levels
There are five performance levels in RaflaRumba. They are to be completed in the given order, the previous levels' patches must be attached to the participants coveralls, otherwise they are deemed to be performing the first level.
The performance levels are as follows:
Intern - 8 stamps
Busser - 10 stamps
Bartender - 12 stamps
Restaurant manager - 14 stamps
El Jefe - 16 stamps
Raflaaja-round
Since 2019 RaflaRumba participants have had the opportunity to purchase a Raflaaja ticket instead of the regular ticket. With this specialty ticket in addition to the regular pub crawl side of the event the ticket holders get to also take part in a taskpoint round in teams of a maximum of five people. The best performers receive praise and glory among their peers.
